Series: Sociopath Duet #1
Published: May 17, 2016
Genres: Dark Romance, Erotic Romance
Life, as I knew it, was over one year ago.I lost my family, my home and any support that came with it.Living in a crappy apartment with my roommate and working two jobs was not how I envisioned my future. However, that was one of the things my family had taught me.Dreams and illusions held no power in the real world. All this was worth it though as long as I knew I was safe.Until he showed up, shattering any peace I had.
Violence towards those who wronged me was my only salvation and revenge.Nothing brought me greater pleasure than the pain and suffering I inflicted on my victims.Until I met her.She became my obsession.Sapphire.My Sapphire. If I were a better man, I would have left her alone and never made her part of my life. But I was a monster. And monsters didn't have hearts.

This is the first review I’m choosing to post, and, let me tell you, it was not an easy decision!
Let me explain why…
One of the major reasons I have for writing this blog is a desire to destigmatize the romance genre, especially erotica and erotic romance.
I often worry people will judge me because I read romance. I’ve listened to people dismiss and degrade it for years. On top of that, erotica and erotic romance seem to attract even more judgment and scorn.
So, when I recently read and reviewed Sociopath’s Obsession (which is definitely a dark erotic romance), I immediately became nervous. Is it too dark to lead with? Will my readers (hopefully I have some) be turned off when my blog is just a baby? Will I get angry comments from people who do not appreciate the sub-genre? Should I start out with something a bit “lighter?”
I even acknowledged in my inaugural blog post that I would be reviewing Rebel Wolf, which is a fine read, but not the one I originally wanted to review first.
Then it occurred to me, I’m letting this fear dictate what I do with my own creative outlet.
Well, that’ll not do! So, here I am posting my first review, Sociopath’s Obsession By V.F. Mason.
